Winter races

Winter doesn't necesserally mean that you have to stop racing. There are plenty of options when you want to give your lungs and legs new impulses. To do so I've choosen track racing for myself. Definetly the warmer and cleaner option compared to cyclo cross 😅

Although many races and other events had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, the cycling club "VFR Büttgen e.V" could held the traditional Winter track races for two weekends in December, provided with a detailed hygienic concept.

Also caused by the pandemic there were less participants than the previous years but nevertheless it was a great event with hard racing.

The event also included the Omnium State Championships of NRW, which I could finish in P1.

My next years teammate Helena Bieber and myself had an well done fight for the points until the last race. In the end it was still very close in GC and she won with one point in advance.

But finishing as first and second is also cool as upcoming teammates :)

Also we've got the chance to practise Madison together. Good for upcoming events, like Sixdays races. Hopefully they can be held somedays again!
